CaRe Days

One of the activities of CaRe are the annual CaRe days, which will this year take place on May 16 and 17 in ‘s Hertogenbosch. All PhD-students and staff are invited!  
There will be an interesting program about scientific and professional integrity with, amongst others, lectures from Lex Bouter and Fiona Godlee and a Dilemma Game.

PhD students who attend both days will receive a certificate (1 ECTS). There is no fee for attending  and you are offered a free stay and dinner at The Golden Tulip Hotel at ‘s Hertogenbosch.

Three times a year CaRe publishes news from the four participating institutes in a newsletter called CaRré.

Strategic issues are discussed in the Board of Directors and in the Board of Governors; PhD supervision and PhD courses are organised by the participating institutes; for overall coordination and quality assurance, PhD coordinators of the institute meet regularly in the PhD Education Committee.

PhD training programme
CaRe offers several courses for PhD's, some organised by CaRe itself, others by one of the four adjoining institutes. Under the tab PhD Training, you find a overview of the courses. Often, universities do also offer courses for PhD-students such as courses aiming for personal development or writing research proposals.

The fellowship allows excellent female scientists to boost their scientific career. Two fellowships of 25.000 euros are available to women active in the field of life sciences, who have between 3 and 10 years post-PhD academic experience (comparable to Veni/Vidi level).
