VIDI grant for Judith Bosmans

Judith Bosmans (Assistant Professor at the VU department of Health Sciences) was awarded with a 800.000 euro NWO Vidi grant. This grant allows her to develop her own, innovative line of research and to set up her own research group over a period of five years. Judith will use this grant to develop and evaluate advanced methods to assess cost-effectiveness of care interventions using routinely collected data. This will allow for the generation of information about the cost-effectiveness of care under routine conditions.

Short summary of the research:
Healthcare budgets are restricted. How can society be sure that we spend the available healthcare resources efficiently? To answer this question decision-makers need information about the cost-effectiveness of care under routine conditions. This project will develop and evaluate advanced methods to do this.
