***** CaRe Days 2 & 3 April 2025 *****

The CaRe Days 2025 took place on 2 and 3 April in Eindhoven.
With over 180 participants the CaRe Days were well attended!
This year’s theme was:

Celebrating 30 years Research School CaRe
Learning from the past, Exploring the future

                   
Prof Hilde Verbeek started the first day                       Thursday, 3 April, Prof Giridhara R Babu 
with an interactive session:                                               held a keynote titled: “India’s moment in

Prof. Hugh Montgomery, our visiting professor, held a keynote about climate change and
health and specifically referred to a non-profit organisation called Real Zero. Real Zero is
dedicated to catalysing social and economic change, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions
at the pace and scale required, as we face both a climate crisis and a health crisis.
Real Zero has summarised 7 acts that we can all perform – as individuals, businesses
and healthcare system.
The Dutch branch, led by Lieke van Baardewijk, will focus on three key actions in healthcare:
move your money, move your energy, and eat more plant-based food.
